| Ok, my plan is to tell you what happened from start to finish...if i can
My sister arived at the Telstra Dome at about 9:30ish to get a good place in the que, we saw a que and lined up there (but little did we know it wasn't the right one!) my sister wasn't sure so she went to look around, then we got to the que about 5 mins later...no biggie, but the line already had about 50 people there SOME OF WHICH slept there overnight! I saw pillows and sleeping bags...crazy mofos
Anywho, we waited outside for about 7 hours. In that 7 hours we shifted our positions, as it felt like the concrete was making a groove in our asses. My mum showed up at about 11:30 with a massive bottle of water and some fly repellent, she told me that she wanted to spray it on me, but i didn't want to have my mum spray my entire body with fly repellent in public, thus making me do it myself. We moved forward in the line as people began to push. Which is how we eded up near the front. A man started to walk around and hand out wrist bands at about 2:00ish and it was all good. Then the gate things were opened and people were ambushing the security guards to get in...my sister and I beat them of course with our super intense speed, see being small has its moments.
When i went to scan my ticket, some mother fucker walked in for me! I was like HELLO NO BIZNATCH! I went in anyhow. Then my sister and i ran to the front of the Idiot Zone! We were in the second row, it was seriously closer than we'd expectd. When more people came in everyone began to push and shove, we were swaying from side to side, hell i didn't even have to stand i could've leaned on everyone around me! We were all incredibly close. It felt like i was being humped by the person behind me and humping the person in front of me! At first it was fine, i was pushing everyone back, a few people at a time. However, when 50 people were pushing forward and sideways, it was hard to stand my ground. I was surprised at my strength though, i didn't think i'd be able to push 20 year old people away from me.
The order of the bands playing was My Chemical Romance first, then Jimmy Eat World, then Greenday. When MCR came on EVERYONE went hectic! We were wild, it was INSANE! I was being smushed into everyone! And boy was i sweating. I saw Gerard Way up close though and that was enough for me. Let me tell you something, HOTNESS!!! I swear he's even sexierin person than in photos! No disappointment there. 3/4 through their second song, i couldn't take people elbowing my back, kneeing my ass and practically being squashed and trampled on. So i told the girl next t me (who was a very lovely person) if she could help me out, wich she did. So then i crowd surfed to the front.
Then MCR finished and the stage crew had to come and organise the set for Jimmy Eat World. In that time i found my sister, we went around the Idiot Zone and i felt like pointing and laughing at the people in the GA but i held myself back. I didn't want to get thrown in there myself. So whilst wondering around, we heard the sounds of a guitar...JIMMY EAT WORLD! WOOT! My sister and i rushed back to the pit...we were around the outside of it on the sides, but there was no problem there because almost everywhere in the Idiot Zone was close to the stage. Actually i think all places in the Idiot Zone were close. They played for longer than MCR, but only a few songs longer. I was disappointed that the lead singer had such a hot voice, but wasn't very attractive himself. HOWEVER, he seems like a really nice person. Someone in the crowd was like, "YOU ROCK!" and he was like, "No dude...you rock," i started to laugh as i found it amusing.
Then, Jimmy Eat World finished and we had to wait for the stage crew to prepare for Greenday. So while waiting, my sister and i grabbed a drink and then went to the little ladies room. There was a que there two! But not a long..P
Anywho, when we got back, we searched for an area where we could see the stage. We didn't want tall people standing in front of us. Then, we found the perfect spot. In the middle-ish. A man dressed in a bunny suit starting dancing on stage and made everyone do the YMCA! He had VB in his hand i think. Suddenly, we saw Tre Cool run on stage! (excuse my lack of accent) And then Mike Dirnt came on! And then Billie Joe! I was screaming my head off! Billie Joe = Sexy As Hell. They Opened with American idiot, everyone was moshing and screaming, it was intense. He said Meblourne right too! Not like those cheesy americans that go Melborn (stupid fuck heads) He goes, "I'm here to educate those mother fuckers!" WOOO!!! The crowd screamed. He said Melbourne! He said we were the home of VB! DAMN FUCKIN' STRAIGHT MISSY!
My whole day got even better when Billie Joe made everyone repeat after him. OOOHHH OOOHHH we chanted...then he began to make orgasm sounds! The first orgasm noise everyone still repeated after him, so it sounded like the fuckin crowd was having one giant orgie! Then he stuck his hands down his pants and started stroking himself. -blushes- Of course we couldn't see his "pecker" (for the kiddies) but we could DEFINITELY see his hands down his pants and what he seemed to be doing, whether he was really touching it or not, i'm not sure.
Billie Joe is one GREAT performer. He knew how to get the crowd going. As much as i love MCR, i think Greenday took it away. They were BRILLIANT. Tre was great, i especially loved the faces he pulled while playing he drums, he's excellent. Mike is awesome at bass. Billie Joe Is spectacular. They formed a mini band out of the people in the crowd. They pulled up a guy who could play the drums, a girl who could play bass and a guy who could play guitar (HE'S ONL BEEN PLAYING FOR FOUR MONTHS!) After they were done Billie Joe made a joke and said to Chris (the guy who played guitar), "GET OFF THE STAGE! You're making me look bad!" hahaha. That Chris dude, got to keep Billie Joe's Guitar...the girl who was playing bass got to stage dive into the crowd...and i didn't see what the drummer got. He left before i could see.
I really wished i could play one of those instruments at the time haha, i still do actually. Later in the show, as everyone was singing along they released this confetti like stuff...but it was in strips and it said Greenday on some and it had the heart grenade on others. They finished off with the song Good Riddance. But they gave us 3 extra songs, because this was there last concert in this tour! Billie Joe even said they saved the best for last. At the end of it all there was fireworks. There were some through out the show, but the end had the most. And that was it. We all made our way out of the Idiot Zone and out of Telstra Dome...still thrilled. Sorry to say i have no photos, but i do have the memories engraved in my head and i'm not letting go of those. Even when i'm older, i'll never forget this.
